Lesson learnt; acne gel

Lesson learnt is where I am going to post about my makeup or skin care mistake that I made along the journey of learning on how to take care of my skin the right way and is a lesson to me and (maybe) to anyone out there. So, my first lesson learnt post is going to be about the acne gel I have been using since last year. It is the Garden of Eden Acne Gel which come from the Garden of Eden "Rosa T" set.

Let me clear things up first before I start ranting about my mistake. The acne gel is actually really good and kill all my acnes. But, I did something with the acne gel on my face that my face cannot  accept so it was fighting back. (& fighting back means it turned into something like hulk. I am not joking & very serious right now.)

The story began like this;
Last week, my face was breaking out really bad around the chin area. I was a bit scared because I have some invitation to attend at the end of the week. On the first night, I put on the Queen Helene Mint Julepe masque but the mask needed times to actually show any result; a week of using, then you can actually see a little tiny improvement. Plus,  I do not recommended the mask for people with combination to dry skin like me. If you have sensitive skin, just forget about the mask and look for another solution.

So, my first plan was not working. I went to my second plan which was putting the acne gel all over the chin area instead of just dab it on the acne spot. Then, I went to sleep. The next morning I woke up with a strange feeling on my face. I felt like it was extra dryer than the usual and the skin felt like it was never hydrated. I went to the mirror to see what actually happened and I was as sad as the penguin who lost the fish because I saw one thing that was much worser than acne; rashes.
I almost cried, I swear.

Now it has been few days and alhamdulillah the rashes are 90% gone. a big shout out to my aloe vera gel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which helped me a lot in getting rid of the rashes. much love for ya mr. aloe vera!!!!

So, the lessons are;
  • never ever ever put your acne gel all over the area and instead, just dab it on the acne spot because the acne gel is supposed to dry out your acne area so it can kempis the place like that (reduce the size of the acnes)
  • and always have aloe vera gel in your house.
the end.
